The notion of “media convergence” is making a comeback, too. That term was big in the 90’s… Convergence referred to the coming together of different mediums, such as the Web and television (that was also the heyday of  another overused term, “multimedia”). Alas, the promise of convergence and multimedia didn’t quite live up to the hype.

That is, until now. Watch the battle between Google TV and Apple TV.
